A neigh to horse meatHorse meat is a cultural delicacy in parts of Europe, Asia and Canada. It is also a $70-million industry in Canada, including imports and exports. But recent campaigns point to the inhumane treatment of horses sent to slaughter and health issues for people eating the meat. British Columbia New Democrat MP Alex Atamanenko has introduced a private member's bill in Parliament that would ban the sale of horse meat.
